| I had the opportunity to go to the Elks National Home for the lighting ceremony on December 7, 2007, and had a wonderful time. It was my honor to be introduced as President of Ohio Elks Association during the program that included a choir of residents of the home and PGER Arthur "Jack" Frost. There are approximately 60,000 - 65,000 lights and as soon as Jack Frost flipped the switch to illuminate the displays there were lines of cars driving through the grounds of the Home. My wife Teresa and I brought Ohio's famous "buckeye" candies along with a card as a small Christmas favor for each of the residents. | |||
| The Elks National Home truly is the "Crown Jewel Of Elkdom". Please remember it in your Lodge's charitable contributions, or personal donations. | |||
| The Home welcomes visitors at any time of year. So, if you are passing through Virginia, please try to stop. Show that Ohio's Elks Care-Elks Share. | |||
| Fraternally, | |||
