SCOUT MERIT AWARD PROGRAM |
|
| Grand Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the
Elks continues to encourage lodges to sponsor Scout Programs within communities
throughout our great state. What better way to join our organizations in
uniting together in developing our future leaders of tomorrow. Scouting
represents a strong American tradition and we as Elks are sincere and devoted
toward your future existence. |
|
| The Youth Activities Committee is sponsoring the SCOUT MERIT AWARD PROGRAM to honor outstanding young scouts achievements. This award is judged on their dedication and loyalty to the scout obligation, activities, and strong emphasis with community involvement. | |
| The program consists of 2 Girl Scouts and 2 Boy Scouts, each receiving a $800.00 award. The check will be paid directly to the local council for the benefit of the recipient. | |
| The Elks goal is to provide scouts the opportunity to succeed and assist their personal paths in scouting. This can only be achieved through good communications and teamwork from all parties. All lodges in Ohio are encouraged to promote individual recipients in their communities by notifying the council office or through local scout leaders. | |
| For further information, review the enclosed application or contact your local council office for dates and assistance. | |
