The 2008 Robert E. Powell Drug Awareness
Education Award will be presented at the Spring Convention in
Columbus, Ohio on Saturday Evening, April 19, 2008. This award
is named in memory of the late Robert E. "Bobby" Powell,
who served as State Drug Awarencss Chairman for many years. |

The award is available to any Elk member
or any member of your Community who excels in the promotion of
Drug Awareness Education within your Lodge and/or community. The
selected award winner must attend the Saturday evening business
meeting at the Spring Convention in order to receive their award. |

Enclosed are the guidelines
for eligibility, along with the official
nomination form. This form or photocopies of it must be used
for submitting your nominee. (For you convenience, this information
is also Available on the Ohio Elks Association website.) If additional
space is needed to submit your nominee, you may use the reverse
side or attach additional plain paper. All entries must be typed
or neatly printed in black ink. You may submit additional information
such as letters, brochures, programs or articles from your lodge
bulletins or local newspaper about your nominee. This will be
of great value in the selection process. |

nominee. Please do not delay- I must receive all entries by
March 1, 2008. If you have any questions, please contact me.
